PaulW61 Posted July 19, 2021 Share Posted July 19, 2021 When doing batch conversions, Affinity Photo sets the default folder to the source folder and does not warn if photos are about to be overwritten. So if you decide to convert a group of 6000 x 4000 pixel photos to reduced 1500 x 1000 pixel photos, for example, and you do not change the output folder, the conversions will proceed and your original photos will be replaced by lower resolution ones without any warning. So if you do not have a backup, you've lost your originals. Affinity Photo should either warn that this is about to happen or change the default folder to a sub-folder of the source one.
