Ortwin Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 The exported PNG looks very different to the original. What am I doing wrong? I have chosen PNG with 16 Bit, even a JPG export looks the same as the PNG export. Thank you for any help Ortwin App Icon with Template.afdesign Quote
JFisher Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Hi Ortwin,Welcome to the forums! :)It would seem the error is with the many images within the layer. If I was to rasterise the layer, the export looks fine but appears pixelated in Affinity Designer. Can I ask how this was created? J Quote
A_B_C Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Looking at this huge amount of tiny single image layers within your group, I would either rasterise the group before exporting, just as JFisher said, or export using Nearest Neighbour as the resampling method … see below. (This file was exported without rasterisation using Nearest Neighbour resampling.) Yes, I would be curious as well, how this was done … Cheers, Alex :) JFisher 1 Quote
Ortwin Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 The original was created in Adobe Illustrator CS5 and delivered as multi layer pdf file. You can't import this file to designer without loosing the color information. So I opened it in "preview" and exported it again. This helped. I would provide the file to staff member for improving designer, but not to the forum. Thank you for your help. Cheers Quote
