HJ5
I was thinking that an app on an iPad which acted as a input tool for all of the Affinity software would be a good idea, as not everyone wants to invest in a graphics tablet as they can be rather expensive, also using the track pad or an external mouse it is really hard to get the full range of things you can achieve with a graphics tablet but with an app you could do it all with the ship of a finger or a stylus. So an app on the iPad i think would be a great alternative to buying a graphics tablet and a great way to get the most of these amazing products you have created. :D
Staff MEB Posted October 25, 2015 Staff Share Posted October 25, 2015 Hi HJ5, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Thanks for your words. iOS versions are already planned for later. Check out this clip from an earlier Designer dev version running on an iPad. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
anon1
You could try astropad. (Just google it) But I'd say you get what you pay for and a graphic tablet will have some benefits.... There are also these Huion devices or something like that and those are cheaper than the Wacom ones. There is an interesting thread in this forum about tablets at all. It's called "what tablet do I use" or something like that.
HJ5
I do have a graphics tablet as i bought it when i used photo plus on my old windows computer. But when i go away i often forget to bring it with me so i often can't do the work i was planning on doing. But i made this thread after a friend of mine asked if there was an iPad app by serif that worked as i tablet and it made me think it would be a brilliant idea especially as my iPad is always in my camera bag is put my photos strain onto it so i can preview them so i will always have it with me and if i forgot my graphics tablet then i know i would have an equivalent with me all the time. I will have a look at astropad.
anon1
It was free for iPhone and so I tried it (I think now you've to pay for it) but I was not to impressed and its obviously not so great on an iPhone at all (great quite literally) Maybe someone give the link to the Vimeo affinity video which shows AD running on an iPad. I'm shure this would make your evening ;)
