Affinity Photo exports but files never appear in folder.

I just ran into an unusual problem this morning. I was exporting an afphoto file to jpg into a specific folder and it seemed to export ok without a problem but every time I go to the folder the exported jpg is nowhere to be found. I've repeated the process several times in different folders and the same problem occurs.

Need help!

How are you going to the folder... Are you using the Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows) or are you using an application to open or place a file? Do you have any filters for showing file types enabled?

I’ve created the folder in finder and the app. The folder created in the app cannot be found by mac finder

By 'in the app' do you mean using the "New Folder" button in the File > Export dialog or something else?

If you give this folder a unique name like "xyzxyzxyz" & then search for it using the search box in Finder, can you find it that way?

When in Affinity Photo I added a folder and exported the .afphoto file to it. I can find neither in the finder. However when I duplicate the procedure in Afphoto app the folder is visible and the new .jpg file. Next I created a the same folder "Header" in the finder which is visible in finder and when I export to it nothing appears.

Where specifically does Finder show this folder to be located? IOW, what is the full path name to it?

One way to show this is to select (highlight) the folder in Finder & then press CMD+ i to open the info window. In the General section of that window the third item is "Where:" You can copy that & paste it into your reply.

Thanks R C-R, I was just checking that out. I did a search and discovered the folder on the desktop where I store a lot of old files from windows. The files were going there. The header folder was in another folder with the same name as the one I created in the finder. This whole things was my own fault. Duhhhh... Thanks for the help.
