dannlea
This is a very small inconvenience, but when saving a new document, and in particular using Cmd+S to trigger a document save, the "Save As:" Text field is not the active field. In testing it just now, I found that closing the window and reopening it caused the text field to default to the active one again.

thomaso
It appears also odd that @dannlea gets the .suffix selected, too: To me (macOS 10.14.6) it directly opens as expected + allows immediate typing without deleting the file ending this way: Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 only
