Affinity Publisher, weird thing when copy and pasting

Recommended Posts

When I copy a text box in one document and paste it in another Publisher document, each line of the text box is broken into individual boxes. And when I drag the corner of a box, it stretches the text when it's suppose to expand the box. And it's the same with a picture box. It's broken in several elements, like stroke, picture, shadow. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

That not happening here, but perhaps sequence is important.

That's not what happens to me. The odd time, the text box will be fine but with the headers I paste, the letter are all in separate boxes. If I do a Paste without formatting, it works somewhat better but the strokes are increase and text wrap is increased dramatically. BTW, I'm on a Mac running OS11.3.

What kind of document are you copying from, and what application is displaying it?

Can you give us some screenshots, or a sample document to play with?

Part of what you're describing sounds like you're working with Artistic Text, not Frame Text.

It would help to have the original document you're copying from, and the document you pasted into.

Also, it's usually better to provide screenshots of the full application window, including the Layers panel. But this one is complex enough that it may need the actual sample documents.
