I hope Separation Preview will come to Affinity Publisher. The only reason I still have Adobe InDesign on my Mac is for this feature. I import a PDF from Publisher in inDesign to check separations.

I found the culprit. I was using the software CopyPaste Pro which gives me multiple pasteboards. When I quit that software, all is normal. Thanks for offering to help.

Here is a jpeg of a sample document. I thought it was a corrupt document but this happens even with a new document and Copy and Paste within the same document too. Very odd. And I'm using text boxes, not Artistic text.

That's not what happens to me. The odd time, the text box will be fine but with the headers I paste, the letter are all in separate boxes. If I do a Paste without formatting, it works somewhat better but the strokes are increase and text wrap is increased dramatically. BTW, I'm on a Mac running OS11.3.

When I copy a text box in one document and paste it in another Publisher document, each line of the text box is broken into individual boxes. And when I drag the corner of a box, it stretches the text when it's suppose to expand the box. And it's the same with a picture box. It's broken in several elements, like stroke, picture, shadow. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

You are right. I was just taking a shower and it came to me. I do my best thinking in the shower I guess. So what is the best way to bring in a picture, in a frame or no frame?

Using the cropping tool.

In Affinity Publisher, when I insert a picture in a Picture Frame, then crop one side and then put a stroke around it, the stroke will show on the picture side that I has not been cropped and is hidden on the cropped side of the photo. How do I get the stroke to show around the final cropped photo? Thanks

Thanks Walt. That works. Now if only Affinity Publisher had a eyedropper tool like inDesign that can copy styles and apply it to another text box. Andre

I looked in the Help menu but there was no indication to do that. I was doing it the same way I do it in InDesign. How do I link the two boxes (see page and from page)?

I have been trying to use the continuation fields (Next Frame, Previouse Frame) to show what page the story continues on and from, but it's not working. Is it just me or are others having this problem too. Thanks

I'm not too crazy about having to drag the selection arrow around the entire items to select them. There should be a choice of methods.
