Paste Into (like Photoshop)

Recommended Posts

I have a selection made in my photo and want to paste something into that selection. I've read the process is to make the selection into a layer by selecting 'layer duplicate' which I did, and then select 'edit >> paste inside" ... The image I want to paste into my selection appears on the work space (up in the top left corner) but not in my selection. I can't seem to do anything with it, as far as move it into my selection. I'm stumped?

Hi and welcome to the forums @Talyned

Frustratingly Photo cannot do this. You'll have to paste then move, with no marquee selection current in the document for easiest working.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
