Matte
I'm banging my head against the wall. I've tried using Publisher, this is the second document it does something like this for no reason. Strange and unexplained gaps appear in the PDF export from picture frames. As you can see from the pics, I have two frames lined up on Publisher (1st attached picture). When I export to PDF, a gap appears for no reason (2nd attached picture). Why is it happening?? And how do I fix this??
Matte
Found a workaround by using PDF 1.7 rather than 1.4. But now I'm getting glitches in the shadows FX... EDIT: nevermind, it's back again. I just turned the other layers back up and the gap is back and now I also have the shadows glitching. I'm getting really upset, I have to deliver the work tomorrow... Edited April 19, 2021 by Matte
Matte
FOUND THE SOURCE OF ALL WORRIES! JPEG compression must stay on! As soon as I enabled it, I was able to go back to exporting with all my old settings, even on PDF 1.4! so... no compression is broke? Staff Pauls Posted April 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 21, 2021 I've not been able to recreate the gaps - would it be possible to get a screenshot of the pdf (more) settings dialog please
Matte
Glitchy settings in the first screenshot, right settings in the second screenshot. As you can see the only thing that's changing is JPEG compression.

Staff Pauls Posted July 5, 2021 Staff Share Posted July 5, 2021 I think it is something to do with Metal acceleration being used in combination with the No Jpg Compression setting on am M1 mac in this case
