krohu
Question, is there any way to change the brush view so that it only displays a large thumbnail. Like there is in photoshop. Thanks for the reply
Dan C
Hi @krohu, Welcome to the Affinity forums Affinity brushes automatically show a live preview of the brush when hovering the cursor on your canvas, if you wish to change this please open Edit > Preferences > User Interface. Here you can disable Show Brush Previews and enable Always Show Brush Crosshair as required. Is this what you're looking for, or have I misunderstood the question here please? Thanks in advance! krohu
Hello Dan C Thanks for the answer, but List view in the brush panel. Only the brush stroke and brush size don't help me much. The question is, can I somehow enlarge the small thumbnails on the left side. I have a lot of brushes that I would like to import, but many of them are hard to distinguish or identify by a simple brush stroke (whether because they have a weird texture or are too big to see properly or whatever). Thanks for the reply Edited April 18, 2021 by krohu charactersword
Dan C
No problem at all! 17 hours ago, krohu said: The question is, can I somehow enlarge the small thumbnails on the left side. My apologies, this isn't possible currently. I will move this thread to the Feedback section of our forums for our devs to see and consider adding this option into a future release. I hope this helps
krohu
All right, that' s a pity, but I have seen that this was already done by you in 2019 (we will move this thread to the "Feedback" section in our forum, so that our developers can consider this option in a future version) but nothing has happened here until now in 2021. Let's wait and see if you can do it like Adobe did. Thanks for the answer
lmglegg
@ Dan C, Tried as you suggested to Krohu, but my display is still the same. I also have quite a large collection of brushes and find the tiny thumbnails very crippling to my workflow. I own the entire Affinity suite, and it is phenomenal in my opinion. I know the devs have their hands full, but maybe if enough of us chime in on this display issue they'll be able to move it to the top of their list and make this great program even better. Thank you for any suggestions and / or feedback.
charactersword
I want to hide the brush stroke view on the right side on the Brushes panel. I want the brush thumbnails only view. It's convenient for the non large screen graphic drawing tablets.
N_W
Hi, I'm not certain if this has been answered, but for those who haven't recieved a resolution: (By the way I'm using a mac with Affinity Photo Version 2.2.1) If you want the brushes panel to look like the following: Select the hamburger icon top right in the Brushes panel, then deselect "Show As List". Bingo, you have previews, not a list. Hope this helps! charactersword
