Non-existant margins created when exporting

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I've tried to find the solution to my problem but I don't really know what to call it so I hope you can understand what I'm talking about and help me solve this.

I've just written some words on a new document using the vector brush - no problems there. But when I export only the selection the resulting PNG image has a considerable margin on all sides and I want it cropped to the lines. I have no idea what's causing it and I don't have this problem with for example a cropped/masked image...

I leave a few screenshots attached to this so you can better see what I mean.

Use the option to export slices in the Export Persona. What I would do is use the move tool to select the M A S Q ... layers and group them then go to the Export Persona and export that group.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi @InesM,

Welcome to the Affinity forums :)

I'd like to investigate the cause of this for you, in order for me to do this could you please provide a copy of your .afdesign file shown in the screenshot?

As Bruce has mentioned above, you may find you are able to achieve the export you need in the Export Persona as a workaround, but I would also like to confirm the reason the PNG file has more of a 'border' than expected.

Many thanks in advance!
