Affinity iPad Student
Following along with this compositing tutorial. I cannot replicate what Rikard is doing in Photoshop -> by making edge disappear via curves. See Clip. After clip, see all the steps I have tried and cannot make edge blend. RPReplay_Final1618497950.mov Steps I’ve taken Regarding Curves, I tried all the channels just like the video clip: Master, Blue and Red, tried for about 40 minutes moving the nodes to various points. Even tried putting a curve on both sides of the photo to balance out that way -> to no avail: Maybe it’s because i never used Paint Mixer before? but i did try in different strengths and flows - to no avail: I thought i would fair better here, due to my familiarity with light round brush.. unfortunately that knowledge yielded no results.. then again, i’m definitely no color expert. If anybody would like to take a shot. This is the original image, to get the edge I have you need to put mountain in the center. To achieve this, apply Affine filter and choose 50% on the x grid (horizontal) @DM1thanks for the Affine filter guidance yesterday. DM1
I couldn’t match it with curves. Tried applying several and masking unwanted areas of each curve. Close but still see join. It doesn’t appear to have the sensitivity provided on the desktop. Tried matching using a gradient map (using colour points from left hand side of image to apply to right hand side. Better but still some areas of join visible. Finally used colour picker at 17x17 to sample areas and painted low flow 5% and hardness 8% with a round light brush to merge the line. I think it provided the best result. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen).
