Sqzbx.Garry
Is there a format you want bug reports in or template? Not sure what information you want. a sticky page with the format you want these inquiries in would make things easier for the user and the operator. I have a bug to report it happens every time i use the software.
Joachim_L
If you click on of the links in the overview page of the forums saying "Report a bug in ... product name" - for example https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/72-report-a-bug-in-affinity-designer/ -, then you will see some guidelines on how make a proper bug report. GarryP
In addition to the advice above I can add this which may help you to determine what sort of post to make There is no template or best practice for reporting bugs, but there are guidelines as Joachim_L has mentioned. In my experience, such templates are pointless (in this sort of creative area) as they end up becoming difficult to use as they evolve over time and some people simply don’t use them correctly anyway. A ‘standard’ form cannot cover every possibility and that leaves the need for an ‘other information’ field which just gets used as a dumping ground for everything the reporter wants to say. A good practice is to first do a Search with some choice keywords to see if you can find a similar issue. If a search doesn’t give you what you want then ask a Question about the issue you are having. Give as much information as you can about what is happening (or isn’t happening, or is happening in a way that you might not expect) with screenshots and videos if possible and a sample document if one can be shared publicly. This will help you to determine whether the issue is expected behaviour or not. If it is expected behaviour and you would like that to change then you can create a Feedback thread asking for a change to be made (include all of the necessary information and a link to your question thread). If it’s not expected behaviour then you can create a Bug Report thread fully detailing the problem (with a link to the question).
