Tony Ennis
Hey gang. I am new to Publisher. I made a master sheet, and put frame text in the sheet. I also added a header. The header uses the Times New Roman typeface. So does the frame text. I pasted some text off the internet into the first page and was surprised by how it looked. I don't know why it looks like this. Did Publisher apply styles from the web page? I expected the text to be styled like "suffrage cook book" and not in the heavier styling you see here. What's going on and how do I fix it? GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Tony Ennis At first blush it looks like the ‘bold’ text has been given a Stroke (outline) of a width other than zero. How you can remove this depends on how the text is formatted – individually or by style. Some places to look are highlighted in my attached image but there are other places, such as the Character Panel. Tony Ennis

If you want the text to get the formatting you applied to the text frame, paste the text without format. You'll find this option in menu Edit or on Windows with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+Shift+V.
