a2jc4life
I need to make multiple versions of a given shape where the basic shape is the same, but the edges are different (straight, wavy, zig-zagged, etc.) -- kind of like this, but not circles: https://www.dreamstime.com/price-sticker-promo-badge-starburst-shape-star-callout-label-round-icons-sale-circles-button-tag-zigzag-edge-promotion-image191810468 Is there a shortcut to making this happen in Designer, or is drawing the outline manually for each one the only way to accomplish this? firstdefence
Affinity Designer doesn't have any vector edge effects at the moment, so it's a case of manually creating the edges, or, take a look at VectorStyler as a compliment to Affinity Designer. a2jc4life 1 Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... a2jc4life
Interesting. That has an image trace option, too. Thanks! firstdefence
loukash
As long as you don't need to expand the stroke and don't need to export as vector (because there's a bug), you can create some of these effects by using the Stroke Pressure field: I.e. currently it works only when left as genuine strokes, and exported in a bitmap format. Hopefully they fix it soon… a2jc4life 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
