Pa6l0
Are there any benefits when buying the version from the website? Great day, Pablo
Pa6l0
But still, are there any differences between both version? What about updates for example? Are both versions, the App Store version and the version bought and downloaded from the website going to update automatically to the newest version? Will I ever need to pay for an update? Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Pablo. The bonus content is available regardless of whether you buy from the Affinity Store or the Mac App Store, but since the MAS version is sandboxed you may find that some plugins don’t work correctly. MAS updates are (optionally) automatic. Affinity Store updates need to be downloaded and installed manually. In both cases there is nothing further to pay for version 1: you only need to pay again if you want to upgrade to take advantage of the bug fixes and new features in a new major version (2.x, 3.x, etc). Albert Strauch
I just installed the newest Affinity Photo version 1.9.3 an tried to install the overlay apps. Unfortunately, I receive a request to update to Mac OS 10.12, but I still run OS 10.11.6 (El Capitan) on my iMac. Is there any workaround to install the apps under El Capitan, because of several reason I would not like to upgrade the OS.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. The Account Sync function requires Sierra (10.12) or higher. If you email affinity@serif.com they will be able to help you get the free content for 1.9 some other way, and you can download/install it manually.
