Hi,

Can someone help me please.  Designer crashed on me earlier when I was dragging one of my own assets from my own asset category.  Now all the Assets I have imported have disappeared from the panel.  Thats not a problem as all of those I have downloaded I can just re-import.  However, the problem is with the assetts that I have created.  Where is that file stored so I can import them back into Designer?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Yes, if you have a recent-enough backup of that file, restoring it should work. Alternatively, you could import assets again from original .afassets files you may have, or may have exported as backups.

walt?  can I remove the OS12 assets as Im not likely to use them and they are really getting in the way.

I am not Walt (obviously!) but you can delete that category if you want. Just select it in the Assets panel, click on the 'burger' menu at the top right of the panel & select "Delete Category" in the menu that pops up.

All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.2 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7

You should be able to delete them, and you can certainly try. But I got a Designer hang (and eventual crash) when I tried it, so make sure you've still got that backup copy of assets.propcol just in case.

With the category selected in the Assets panel, click on the hamburger menu and choose Delete Category:

Edit: After restarting Designer, the Assets were still OK, and I was able to delete iOS 12 without incident.
