What is the purpose of the raster_brushes.propcol_backup1 files?

Recommended Posts

I noticed that all 3 of my Affinity desktop apps have raster.propcol_backup1files for raster brushes in addition to the usual *_brushes.propcol ones.

AD & APub also have 'backup1' files for their vector brushes & APub also has a title_exceptions.propcol_backup1file. These are relatively small but the raster backups are not, so I wonder if they are really necessary.

Hi R C-R

These are created if you have modified the default brushes / imported your own brushes and are updating the app. The file is a brush-file that should still import into the older prior version. This allows your brushes to be recovered in the rare event they are corrupted while updating.

Thanks
