Steven v
Hello, I purchased 3 Affinity products via the affinity website for my 2015 Macbook pro. I am awaiting shipment of my new Mac mini and want to make sure that I will be able to transfer the software from this machine to the other. The EULA states no transfer but does not clearly depect if it's a transfer from person to person or machine to machine. Thanks for your help! walt.farrell
You can use your software on as many Macs of any kind as you personally own or control, as long as no one but you uses the application for commercial purposes. metecem
I'd like to extend the question. We have recently purchased the Affinity products. It is installed on one Mac but we both have separate accounts on this computer. When my partner wants to start the software while in her account, Affinity asks for the license key. Am I right in thinking it'd be OK to enter the key and get on with our work? Thank you.

Am I right in thinking it'd be OK to enter the key and get on with our work? The EULA (End User License Agreement) on Windows says the following. The one for Mac should be the same, except referring to MacOS rather than Windows: Quote (i) if you are a private individual, to download, install, use and run for personal use, one (1) copy of the Serif Software directly on each computer running Microsoft Windows (“Windows Computer”) that you personally own or control. Commercial use is permitted but only use by you and not by any other users of any Windows Computers that you own or control. For example, other members of your household that use your Windows Computers may make personal use of the Serif Software whereas, if anyone other than yourself needs to make commercial use of the Serif Software, the other user will need to make a separate purchase. (ii) if you are a commercial enterprise, to download, install, use and run one (1) copy of the Serif Software for use either: (a) by one specific individual on each of the Windows Computer(s) that they use that you own or control, or (b) by multiple individuals on a single shared Windows Computer that you own or control; For example, a single employee may use the Serif Software on both their desktop and laptop Windows Computer, or multiple employees may serially use the Serif Software on a single Windows Computer used as a shared resource. (iii) if you are an educational institution, to download, install, use and run, one (1) copy of the Serif Software for use either: (a) by a single individual on each of the Windows Computer(s) that they use that you own or control, or (b) by multiple individuals on a single shared Windows Computer that you own or control. For example, a single student may use the Serif Software on both the student's desktop Windows Computer and laptop Windows Computer, or multiple students may serially use the Serif Software on a single Windows Computer located at a resource centre or library. You can find this by looking at the About screen (Help > About on Windows, probably someplace else on MacOS, like Affinity Photo > About.), and clicking the EULA link. Pick the appropriate section that applies to you (i, ii, or iii) and it answers your question. If letting her share your key is within the terms of the EULA, then let her use it. Otherwise, you'll need to have her purchase (and use) her own license. If that's still unclear, we'd need more information on your situation and how you're both using the product.
