InDesign page numbers (Ben)

Recommended Posts

I am currently working on a idml file that was originally created on InDesign. I am trying to update the page number flow through the master page so that it runs throughout the document. However, I currently have pages set as a full spread of A3 rather than 2 A4 pages (what I would normally see on InDesign). Is there a way to split the spread into 2 pages to help make the run of page numbers correct/does any one know of a hack to get 2 separate page numbers on the same spread?

Thanks

Hack is to generate a text file with 1 - n (1 - 128 or 1-48 or 1-256...) and flow the text through linked text frames on a master page. Each number is a new paragraph and the paragraph style is set to start in a new frame. Lot of work.

Best is to bite the bullet and redo it as 2 A4 pages on a double page spread.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I'm curious why it didn't import as facing pages originally.
