How to perfectly align text to the top? How to eliminate the gap if the text is top aligned?

The gap is "part" of the font. If you scroll through the fonts you will see, that some fonts are nearer to the top. Have a look at the Text Frame panel >> Vertical Position >> Initial advance. Changing to Cap Height could work.

If the text no longer needs to be editable you can convert the text to curves. If it needs to remain editable use the character panel to adjust the baseline setting.
