How do I copy the FX style and keep the same values for things like outline, paste FX changes the values

A trick I have found that works in many/most applications.

1 Do a copy and paste fx to the layers you want the same, make a mental note of what is different from what you wanted.  Usually it's only 1 or 2 sliders.

2 Open the fx dialog, if it's not already open

3 Select the layer you want to copy from

4 cmd select the layer(s) you want to copy to.  The fx dialog will show what you what is in the layer selected in step 3.  So you'll have the correct layer and the incorrect layers selected.

5 Click on the handles in the sliders that were not correct in step 1.  This will set those handles on all selected layers.  Your original layer you are copying from will not be effected if you don't move the slider.
