Hi there, this is my first post. Apologies, if I am wrong here. I have updated  to Version 1.9 (Photo, Designer, Publisher). Out of the blue a strange thing happens:
When draw a new textframe with the textframe tool, the prom shows up outside of the frame on the right side. When I start to type, the letters show right there.

I haven't changend my routines. When I started the project, the textframes worked fine. No problem. So now I am a bit lost.
I would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance:

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Begonius!

Please have a look at the Paragraph panel if you have a too high value for left indent?

Hi Joachim, thank you for coming back so fast. I checked the indents in both the textframe panel as well as the paragrah panel. No matter what I turn the to, the result is the same.
But thanks for the idea anyway.

Hi MEB, thank you. I have checked as you suggested. Meanwhile the promt has chosen another place to show up. I add the Screenshot.
As well I have created a new document for comparison. I is just one page. In the new document the textframe works as one would expext it to do:
the prompt ist in the upper left corner.

But the document I actually work on has 40 pages. And right now there are these strange things happening with the textframe tool.

Hi MEB, thank you!!  This did the trick! So I will remember to check the values in the textframe panel AND the text panel for some "old remains".

Actually Joachim was right too. Thanks for your time, both of you. Stay healthy and happy!
