Belhouse
Hi, I'm still green with Affinity Publisher, that said, I recently created PDF files of my work for an editor and when I returned to the files to make adjustments, Affinity says that the files can't be found or don't exist. I will have to start from scratch setting up these files for print now? Is there way to hold onto my work and make future changes in publisher without losing the file? Maybe I didn't do something right- I don't know.
Old Bruce
Did you actually save the Publisher Document as a Publisher file? Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Belhouse
Thanks, Bruce, Numerous times. I did all my writing in Affinity. It was only after I created the pdf- the files are not there. Gee whiz!
Dan C
Hi @Belhouse, My sincerest apologies for the delayed response here! The message you're referring to sounds as though Publisher may be opening the file you've saved, but Linked resources that were used in the document are no longer available. This may be due to the linked file having moved location, or been deleted. If this is not the case, could you please provide a screenshot of the error message you're seeing? At what point do you see this error message? Excuse me if this sounds obvious, but if the application was not saving your documents, what document or how were you trying to re-open this in the Affinity app? Many thanks in advance
