JT_1
After just a few minutes of using the 1.9, the program makes the fans on my brand new laptop work extra and the program crashes. I can't work more than 20 minutes on a file that has any complexity. Hardware acceleration is already enabled and I still can't use the program without it crashing. Russ7388
I have the same issue, after 5-10 minutes of editing a photo, Affinity Photo just shuts down. This has happened approximately 6 times over the last few days. to say it is frustrating is an understatement.
Staff Chris B Posted February 8, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 8, 2021 Hi both, Can you try updating your graphics drivers and then restart the app. We are seeing crashes related to old drivers and OpenCL. If that still doesn't work, try disabling OpenCL from Preferences > Performance to see if that helps. Staff Chris B Posted February 22, 2021 Staff Share Posted February 22, 2021 Hey @JT_1 - can you try the beta? There have been a few fixes so it's worth seeing if you can still crash in that and then give us the crash report if it's still the case: Affinity Store version - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports Microsoft Store version - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)\CrashReports\reports Beta - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports\reports You can acccess the AppData folder by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard and then just type %AppData% Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
