Unexpected change of text size when grouping several objects, after resizing

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I found a problem in Publisher version 1.9.0.932. I can't remember this problem with previous versions of Publisher.

The problem is: if I resize all the objects selecting them and using the handle at the lower right, which allows resize of text size together with the rest of objects, if after I group some of the objetcs with text frames, the text size change. I found that if the resizing was to a bigger size, the unexpected text size change is to a bigger type. On the contrary, if I resize to a smaller size, the text size change is to a lower type. Doing this several times, the change of the text size is rather erratic.

Is it me doing something wrong? or some else found the same problem?

Thanks a lot.

javier

PS: sorry if this question was alredy posted. I couldn't find it.

This has been logged a few times and was know before the release of the retail version in Beta, it is also happening across all the apps and seems to relate to the resizing. If you check my activity you will come accross the other posts

No worries, I think we all have problems with the searching as wording can be different for the same problem. Welcome to the forum, you will find some really helpful people online who are very knowledgable. They have certainly helped me many times and helped improve my skills.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Text in scaled text frame could increase in size when grouped) of the program in the latest customer beta. If you would like to try these changes the beta software is available in the forum posts listed below.

The latest beta builds are downloadable from links at the top of each of these beta forum posts.

These betas install parallel, next to the release version (they do not overwrite your release) and so the fixes can be tried in the beta without affecting your normal workflow in the release version.

Once these programs have been through a full beta process the change will be released in a future free 1.9.1 update/patch to all customers.
