benged123
Still getting used to Publisher (I use Photo all the time). I'm just trying to put page numbers in a document. On the Master Page I create a text box, then click Text > Insert > Field > Page Number. But! When I add the Field > Page Number ... the little '#' on the Master Page isn't inside the text box, it's outside – image: Page numbering 1; Which looks like this in the document: Page numbering 2; And of course looks like this when there are two digits: Page numbering 3. What am I doing wrong? All ears, Ben.
carl123
Check the formatting of the text frame or upload a simple document showing the error Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. CC GREEN
Has this issue been resolved as experiencing similar issue - see below: When applying page numbers to scratch APUB doc the application works as expected - namely create a text frame and then insert page number which results in Hash symbol contained with the text frame. Page numbers being correctly displayed on ALL pages. My problem being that I cannot replicate this in a 50+ page document - having created the text frame on a master the ‘Insert Page Number Hash symbol’ places itself immediately outside the frame, further the number of characters displayed on document pages is limited to a single character thus page 10 showing figure 1 etc. Note: The document has several master pages and the one to which page numbering is applied is simply a rectangular shape with infill colour used as the background for ALL pages. Indents set in the Paragraph panel. Insets set in the Text Frame panel Columns set in the Text Frame panel If that doesn't help you find it, please provide a sample .afpub document including the Master Page in question. CC GREEN
Thanks for advice - the reported problem now resolved - required clicking on "SYNCHRONISE DEFAULTS FROM SELECTION" on the Toolbar. As yet not discovered how this feature is intended to work - a brief explanation would be appreciated. Cyril
