Placing designs in my documents

Recommended Posts

HELP!!!
I upgraded Affinity Photo and designer, and I cannot place any of my images into my documents. If I'm lucky, an image appears after 3 minutes.
I need my designer programs for my business.
Upgrades always make me nervous for this reason. Can I go back to my last version?

If you purchased from Serif directly, yes: https://affinity.store/update/macos/designer/1 will let you download the prior release.

If you purchased from Apple, no, unless you have a TimeMachine or other backup you can restore.

I''ve just tried to open and place JPEGs, NEFs and .afphotos in Designer and Photo (or did you mean something else?) – without any problems and quick as always. (iMac 2020 & Catalina)

Maybe your images come from a slow external file or network, or there's another App causing trouble. I would try a reboot.

Thank you. I have found the reason, lol.

You had this little tag in the old version that you knew your image is ready to be placed.
In the new version, you can just click, and it gets placed into your document.

I just sat here waiting for the little tag to appear, and it never did.

Thank you for your quick response. And sorry for the panic.
