Like three main lights, a backdrop light, a light on top of the head etc. The short answer is: “Yes, to a limited degree, and depending upon your skill level.” There are various dodge and burn techniques that you could learn. And there is also the Lighting filter, which can be adjusted for various simulated lighting effects such as Spot, Point, and Directional, and may be applied directly to the layer or added as a Live Filter. Nevertheless, in general you’ll be far happier with the result if the photo is shot skillfully with proper lighting rather than try to simulate it in post.
