Snap Artboard - still not working?

Hey,image.png.314e015b4364292c3f67937f1fa494d5.pngimage.png.9f020802d09b61857241211a1ab57c6e.pngimage.png.4babcdacbae224d61e46b98a9dc0bb0d.pngimage.png.9b11fdc9596f612c1f0b018e35517d01.pngimage.png.7ae47af8db58d1d31e0820977737d75d.png

Love AD, but I have some grievances. The most annoying is the many scenarios where my grid is messed up; artboard doesn't snap to anything when dragging, despite options being enabled. Is that not expected behaviour?

My experience suggests that if the artboard itself is not on the grid, no objects within that artboard will be sharp either. In those artboard-off-the-grid situations, the size of the export does not match the artboard itself: 22 x 22 becomes 23 x 19, or worse. So, location of the artboard seem to affect it's size - which to me is .. extremely odd, and frankly extremely annoying (and time consuming to fix). Despite snap-to-grid is enabled, no snapping occurs.

Ref. screenshots: I expect that artboard to be on the grid in both of these situations. No? What am I missing? Do I really have to manually transform position and size to get the artboard aligned to the grid?

PS: Which reminds me.. It would be nice to be able to CMD+C or click the version number to copy release details while showing the About dialog. I'm using 1.9.0.15.

No, they are not pixel aligned in both situations. In the first case because both the X,Y coordinates (75.9pt and 31.1pt), width (40.1pt) and height (41.9 pt) don't translate to integer/full pixels values (change the document units to px to check). In the second because you are using fractional (non-integer) px values for the width and height as well. To prevent the issues you described the artboards must be pixel aligned (X, Y coordinates must be integer values) and the artboard's width and height's dimensions should also have integer pixel values. In the second case for example, create the artboard with 46x41px and it will export with those exact dimensions assuming the X, Y coordinates are indeed integer values as it seems from the screenshot). I'm saying it seems because if for example the X, Y coordinates are 90.003 px and 21.006 px and you have the app set up to display just a single decimal value in the input fields (in Preferences) the artboards still remain mis-aligned despite what is visible in the input fields.

I've passed some of these concerns to the dev team some time ago (regarding the X,Y coordinates alignment requirement specifically) since only the width and heigh coordinates are really relevant when exporting an artboard. In v 1.9 there's no need to have the artboard's X, Y coordinates pixel aligned (have integer values) - only the width and height of the artboard must be integer px values.
