williamw Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 I'm looking for a way to bring the data in an csv file into affinity designer so I can create batches of images. I believe photoshop refers to this as "Data Merge". Does this feature exist? or is there a way to workaround it for affinity designer? Quote
Staff MEB Posted January 14, 2021 Staff Posted January 14, 2021 Hi @williamw, Welcome to Affinity Forums Data Merge is only available for Affinity Publisher 1.9 (Customer Beta). I'm afraid there's no way around this for Designer. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
Joachim_L Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Welcome to the Affinity forums @williamw! Yes, this feature exists, but not for ADesigner, but for APublisher Beta 1.9x. You can test the beta and see if it works out as you hope. williamw Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 I do also have Affinity Publisher. Would I be able to perform the data merge in Publisher and copy the results over to Designer? Quote
Staff MEB Posted January 14, 2021 Staff Posted January 14, 2021 Yes you can. No need to copy/paste the result to Designer, simply change to the Designer Persona (assuming you enabled StudioLink) or go to menu File > Edit in Designer to send the whole file to Affinity Designer app. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
