lucatulp
Hello guys, I just got Affinity Designer on my macbook because I'm interested in learning graphics design, and this seems like a great app to start with. I am stuck at how to cut inside a curve shape. I looked but can't find the answer, please help me understand how to do it. I attached a screenshot of the curve line where I want to cut the curve shape. I appreciate your time! Luca
Gear maker
Luca, just to clarify, is it the white you want to cut off even with the blue? Quote iMac (27-inch, Late 2009) with macOS Sierra
Staff Dan C Posted December 8, 2020 Staff Share Posted December 8, 2020 Hi @lucatulp, Welcome to the forums One of the quickest method that I'm aware of is to draw a 'donor' shape, drawing a stroke through the object where you wish for it to be 'cut' and drawing around the rest of the object until your curve is complete. You can then select both objects and use Subtract to remove any of the shape within the curve you've drawn - 2020-12-08 06-20-34.mp4 I hope this helps! lucatulp
lucatulp
@Dan C Thanks, this is what I was looking for! I didn't know that the subtract option was there. Dan C
