calibear
Hi, I work in product photography and my clients need all their images clipped with the clipping path tool and also want to image delivered in TIF/PSD format including the clipping path. I usually work with Photoshop but are ready to jump ship since I am fed up with all the bugs in Photoshop. To make the jump I need to somehow export the clipping path I create in Affinity Photo within the PSD/TIF export so the client can just open it and see the path. Is there any workaround to export the clipping path in a file? Thank you! Edited December 4, 2020 by calibear
JohnWClark
Wish I had the answer to this one. I need precisely the same function but haven't fathomed it yet. Have to resort to PS as and when required. There will be a way to do this in AP, and one day we'll find out!
Dan C
Hi @calibear, Apologies for the delayed response here On 12/4/2020 at 5:51 PM, calibear said: I need to somehow export the clipping path I create in Affinity Photo within the PSD/TIF export so the client can just open it and see the path. Is there any workaround to export the clipping path in a file? I can confirm this is possible when exporting either a PSD or JPEG from Affinity, the method differs slightly for each, so I have included these below - PSD - JPEG - Unfortunately Clipping Paths are not supported when exporting to TIFF, and there is no workaround for this, my apologies. I hope this helps!
