Hi, i would like to use Affinity to make simple technical drawings.

Is there any usefull tools for that?

Now i make a box or line and read the measure in the corner. make the drawing according to that and then delete the box.

Seems a litle complicatd but it works pretty god.

If i have a square: Can i mark it and read the with and higt for that shape somewhere?

I just find that i have to mowe it to see the measure light upp in the corner?

Hope you understand what i mean wit this?

Of course, see the Transform panel (here), which shows and allows you also to change/edit you the following controls:

  • Anchor point selector—transforms are carried out from the selected anchor point. Click on an anchor point to select. If the object has a custom transform origin, it will be ignored if this selector is then used.
  • X—Horizontal position. Increasing the value moves the selected object (layer) to the right.
  • Y—Vertical position. Increasing the value moves the selected object (layer) down the page.
  • W—Width. Adjusts the object (layer) width in relation to the selected anchor point.
  • H—Height. Adjusts the object (layer) height in relation to the selected anchor point.
  • Link Link—when enabled, width and height are adjusted in proportion to each other, maintaining the current aspect ratio. When deselected, they can be adjusted independently.
  • R—Rotation. Rotates the object (layer) by a specified number of degrees in relation to the selected anchor point.
  • S—Shear. Shears the object (layer) by a specified number of degrees in relation to the selected anchor point.

Thank you so much, this really helped me.

Is there any way to get the Grid to be set in mm? One square = 1mm2.

Now i have 2 mm/ square.
