Resource Manager - Consistency UI + Image Placement Policy option

Recommended Posts

shouldn't that be under "document" menue, so it is the same as in publisher?

+

"Added Image Placement Policy option", hm, can't find that :)

I'd expect:

1) If I place an image, I can choose in the file dialog: (x) embed file or ( ) link file

2) somewhere in the Preferences: default (x) embed or ( ) link

greets, thx

S.

Exactly where it is in Publisher, during File > New:

Or, when replacing an image via the Context Toolbar button:

In Designer, it's also in Document Setup (as it is in Publisher):

thx!

@ "Or, when replacing an image via the Context Toolbar button: "

here I'd expect to have that too on a standard "file > place" operation as override (always defaulting to the option set for the document),

not only on "replace".

That's not in Publisher, either.

Sounds appropriate for a Feature Request :)

yepp, would be great.

summed:

1)

file > place should have an option ( o ) embed or (  ) link override (always defaulting to the option set for the document)

(not only the "replace image" btn)

2)

finding the "resource manager" menue should be the same in all apps (I already was searching in the wrong place)

now:
photo: view > resource manager
publisher: document > resource manager
designer: view > resource manager

the trend is "view", which I'd find ok (same as in some other apps)

greets, thx
