Impress
Hi, First of all i would like to express my satisfaction in using Affinity apps but I have a performance problem. When i set "show grid" option then brush painting really slows down. It looks like sampling or lagging. The line is smooth but experience is very bad. I tried using tablet and mouse and effect is the same. When i disable "show grid" option everything is fine and lag effect disappear. Anyone can help? Staff Chris B Posted October 6, 2020 Staff Share Posted October 6, 2020 Hey Impress, welcome to the Affinity Forums. Can you tell me what size document (resolution and DPI) you are working on, which brushes you are using and what size are they? Also, what grid settings are you using? I've checked this on the retail version and it's fine using the default brushes. The beta is also fine where it's using the new OpenCL hardware acceleration. The size of the document can have an impact on how smooth paining is and perhaps the grid is exascerbating the issue here. Impress
Hi Chris, Thank you for your response. I have been using Affinity recently and the most of settings are default. Workspace was 2000px X 1000px but i tried with predefined smaller size and effect was the same. I think I'm gonna make a video to better illustrate whats going on. Maybe it will give us a clue.
