Stop adding _1 to the end of the filename when not necessary

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

For some reason AP is adding extension _1 to every PNG and JPG file I save. PDFs are saved OK. These files being separate pages from a multi-page afpub file.

When saving, I specifically rename the file to lets say novitim_logo_center_100 and it gets saved as novitim_logo_center_100_1 even when there is no such file in the saving directory (which would be the only reason to add this extension).

So when I save twenty files like this, I then have to rename twenty files immediately.

Why is this happening?

Hi @brunoczech,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! This is possibly due to your export settings - can you please confirm for me, are you using the Export Persona, or File > Export to save your images?

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for confirming that for me - this appears to be the same issue that you reported in the below thread:

This is still with our developers to be investigated and fixed at this time, my apologies.
