Paint squares within Guidelines?

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Just bought the program, and has run into my first big problem... I have made this square grid using guidelines, the guides manager... Now I want to use the paint bucket, and paint each square in different colors.. But I can't. The bucket ignores the guidelines, and paints the whole layer, instead of the square I click on...

What am I missing? Should I do this in another way?

Hi ReeAnimation,

Welcome to the forums :)

The best way to do this would be using the Pen Tool to draw each square and then fill it manually the fill tool will only fill closed curves as the Grid is not a physical object it is not picked up by the tool.

Thanks

Guidelines and Grids is virtual lines for work helping. It is not the contents of the canvas that the fill tools could respond to.
