Swapping from Windows to Mac

Recommended Posts

About a month ago I have purchased Affinity Designer for Windows, but recently I had an opportunity to purchase a Mac and wanted to swap the licence from Windows to Mac, however Affinity consultant told me this will not be possible. I totally understand this is completely different licence, however considering that I had my Affinity for only over a month, I thought this would be possible. Turns out it is not... Has anyone had this issue before when migrating from one system to another? I have only managed to speak to one person at Affinity so not sure if it is their strict practice or perhaps just my "luck"

Thanks for the reply, I have now realised that I first contacted them about it on the 13th day of my subscription. At the time the member of the team did not mention their 14 day money back guarantee. This is really poor from them in my opinion, a real shame and let down on their customer service. It is really sad that what is an otherwise a great experience (the product itself) can be degraded so much by poor customer service. Will be taking this further with them

Hi @Eddie Chapman,

Welcome to the forums :)

I've searched for Affinity accounts using your email address and the only download I have been able to locate is for a trial for Affinity Designer on Windows.

I have also searched our ticket based contact system and I can't find any email from yourself, using either your email address or name.

I'd like to request some more information from you, but some of this cannot be posted on the forums. Can you please email affinity@serif.com with the answers for the below questions?

  • Did you purchase the Affinity app directly from the Affinity Store, or from the Microsoft App Store?
  • If purchased through the Affinity Store, what email address was used?
  • What email address did you contact us from originally? Or was this through a social media such as Facebook or Twitter?

Many thanks in advance!
