Inseting Pages in Middle of Book Shifts Layouts

Recommended Posts

Here's the situation: I created a Master Page ("Interior") in which the left-side holds two narrow text boxes, and a larger text box on the right.

I also created a Master Page ("Front Matter") consisting of a big text box.

My book consists of chapters organized into parts, and where a new part begins, I insert Front Matter pages.

If it's an even number, it works fine. When it's an odd number, the layout changes on every page after the insertion. The narrow text boxes stay the same, but the larger text box jumps to the left.

I have to click on those pages and reapply the Interior Master Page. That works fine, but it's annoying.

Otherwise, I'm really loving the program. I laid out 20 books using Word, and I really wish I heard about this program earlier. I'll have to continue using Word for my annotated books (footnotes, you know), but everything else will be on AP.
