Responding to Hangman's question: 1. Interesting. Both Photo and Designer did the same thing. 2. Factory reset: Will that do anything after I uninstalled the app and downloaded and installed a new one? 3. Attached are the reports. I used Designer much less than Photo or Publisher, so it might be easier to find the crash report there. It seems clear that it's not the apps that are a problem but something on my computer, so any ideas you can give me will be very much appreciated. It's quite simple and I've replicated it several times: Click on the Resource Manager, the program crashes. Here's what I've done so far: 1. Tried it with a new file, and with a small file, like the Business Card setting. 2. Turned off hardware acceleration. 3. Uninstalled the program and reinstalled it. (FWIW I checked Font Manager and Section Manager. They load fine.) But every time, when I click on Resource Manager, there's a pause of three seconds, and the program disappears from the screen. I encountered a weird situation in Affinity Publisher 2.1.1 that fortunately appears reproducible. (I'm using Windows 10 version 22H2 OS Build 19045.3324) I'm going through my book, adding footnotes on every page. It's working just fine until I reached page 94. There, the seven footnotes have disappeared. When I click on them in the Layers panel, they are there (see footnotes 1.PNG). Just blank boxes. When I add another footnote, they appear (see footnotes 2.PNG) I typed something in the box and clicked away, and the footnotes are still there. (footnotes 3.png) If I delete the footnote by backspacing over the number (which I put in the first line on the page), they disappear again. My book file is attached with the blank footnotes. If you want the footnotes to appear, tighten the Tracking on the big paragraph on page 92 and go into the footnotes on page 93 and remove the three blank lines. It should reappear. I tightened up a few paragraphs on previous pages to make the footnotes appear, so fortunately I can keep working. Regards. affinity publisher bug.afpub

Here's the situation: I created a Master Page ("Interior") in which the left-side holds two narrow text boxes, and a larger text box on the right. I also created a Master Page ("Front Matter") consisting of a big text box. My book consists of chapters organized into parts, and where a new part begins, I insert Front Matter pages. If it's an even number, it works fine. When it's an odd number, the layout changes on every page after the insertion. The narrow text boxes stay the same, but the larger text box jumps to the left. I have to click on those pages and reapply the Interior Master Page. That works fine, but it's annoying. Otherwise, I'm really loving the program. I laid out 20 books using Word, and I really wish I heard about this program earlier. I'll have to continue using Word for my annotated books (footnotes, you know), but everything else will be on AP.
