Paresh
When I use layer effects like inner shadow & outer glow, Gaussian blur automatically engages even though i didn't check it. I can uncheck it, move the slider & it happens again. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
walt.farrell
The Layer Effects panel is a little confusing. The checked boxes determine which effects are to be applied. The sliders, however, are associated with the effect that is selected (highlighted in blue). It is quite possible that you checked the Inner Shadow or Outer Glow, boxes but did so while you have the Gaussian Blur effect selected (blue). Then, when you change its settings, you are changing Gaussian Blur, and it will automatically become active.
