Can anyone help with this, I'm missing a step? I load an image and click file/place to put a texture over it. I rasterize the texture, create a mask, and then try to use the brush to hide certain portions of the texture but I just wind up either painting it black or white. What am I missing? It's so easy with adjustments that have a mask already added. Thank you!

Wow you were right! I went to my account and it said I wasn't registered for some reason, so I just signed in and there were my assets. Actually they were free, it was several years ago in one of the AP updates as I recall. You could check your account and see if there are any free ones that you can download if you want. That was brilliant, thank you for hanging in with a trivial issue!

Thanks. It's just the stock assets that came with AP, like fog. There used to be about 15 fog assets, now only 3 or 4. I don't use them too often either so I don't want to take up more time, I just wondered if there was a quick fix.

Thanks for yr help Gary! No I have the latest version of v1 & haven't made any recent changes. Maybe it's a computer issue & not AP?

no I never installed v2, v1 is still challenging enough for me

Assets are checked in View but suddenly only a few remain. Any ideas? thanks.

I really like the look this photographer gets. He uses a camera phone with a special lens and an app for multiple images. I thought maybe if I blended a number of images (but without the tripod or changing the focus when I shoot) I could get some impressionistic look like this. Does anyone have tips (or a link) on creative ways to use focus merge? It seems similar to file/place except you can merge a lot of images at once. thanks.
