How do YOU create footnotes?

Recommended Posts

I am working on a book that has footnotes. I figured I could create them by creating text boxes with a short line at the top and pinning the boxes to superscript numbers in the body. Is that how other users are creating them? Or is there a better way?

My problem is that some of the footnotes will NOT stay in place. They slide off the page. Sometimes I can find them on the desktop, but sometimes they just disappear. I've tried adjusting the pinning options, but nothing makes all of them stick all the time. I'm doing this over and over to the same footnotes, though not to others.

Help?

Without seeing your document (or a few pages of it) I cannot be certain but this sounds like a problem with "pinning" the notes to the superscripted numbers. I wouldn't pin the notes just place them at the bottom of the page.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
