barfunkle Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 I just updated Affinity Photo to 1.8.5. I wasn't having this problem before, but now when I double tap with my wacom pen while using a brush, instead of being the intended size, it has started creating a large dots where I'm pressing. So often with I'm trying to do small textures or sketchy lines everything I'm doing will be covered up by this dot. The dots appear to be the same size as if I had set the pen down and clicked with my mouse, so many times larger than it would be with the pen. I've checked my wacom pen settings and that's not the culprit, how can I turn off this new "feature?" Quote
barfunkle Posted August 28, 2020 Author Posted August 28, 2020 I just uninstalled the new version. In addition to the double tap the new version completely screwed up my pen, resulting in horrible wobbly lines. Quote
denmakesgames Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I'm having the same problem - when double tapping (double click) with the Brush with Pressure enabled it creates a full sized splotch as if pressure to control size weren't enabled. This is a bug, not a feature, right? Quote
Staff Gabe Posted September 2, 2020 Staff Posted September 2, 2020 Hi both, Try going to Preferences > Tools > Tablet Input and change it from Low Precision to Windows Ink. Quote
denmakesgames Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Late reply here - for some reason windows ink doesn't work for me, but high precision does. When trying to use windows ink, the brush is always maximum pressure size. I had removed windows ink through group policies when I formatted this drive recently, but after restoring it it still has the same effect - not sure if this is helpful in any way - but I'm at least happy high precision is letting me tap more rapidly on the pad now Quote
John Doe 1234 Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 Doing a trial of this product, and this is really filling me with rage. There is no explanation for why things are happening, and then there is no externalized option to turn it off. I found in another question that one of your other products has a "turn off double tap" feature. Why is this buried into a bundled option that has no mention of what it even does in the interface? So far the product feels nice but the preferences are a nightmare. Quote

vczf Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 @Halex Switching to High Precision stopped the double-tap stamp behavior for me with my Wacom Intuos Pro. Halex 1 Quote
M8two Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 (edited) Where do I find the high precision option ? I can't find it on the internet either. Edit : nevermind I found it in edit > preferences > tools in Affinity Photo. Edited December 10, 2022 by M8two new information Quote
