SKD
Hi, sometimes when I open up an image I will be able to see the desktop behind it. Sometimes this might be a case of being able to see the finder window with the raw files I chose from. This will sometimes still be visable even when that finder window is closed. Sometimes I will be able to see the texture of the desktop picture on an open image. have I somehow changed a setting of the opacity of Affinity Photo windows? Staff MEB Posted August 18, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 18, 2015 Hi SDK, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Do you have Window ▹ Separated Mode enabled? If that's not the case can you try to reset the app? Just press and hold ⌃(ctrl) while launching it then select Clear from the dialog that will appear. SKD
Looking at it in more detail its screen burn that fades away after a few minutes (but takes no time at all to get 'burnt in'). (MBP retina just in case you're wondering) thanks
Staff MEB Posted August 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 19, 2015 Can you take a screenshot of it? Are you running any third party utilities, that manage windows / highlight working apps and similar? Is this only happening in Affinity Photo? How about other apps? This seems an issue unrelated with Affinity Photo itself. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
SKD
sorry, didn't make myself clear. It happens in everything, not an AP problem. I only noticed it in AP from looking closely. Surprised I didn't notice it in Aperture or elsewhere earlier!
yakk
Hi SKD You should contact Apple for an exchange. I once got an iMac with a persistence problem like that. When I was booting up, while having the gray screen, I could notice traces of the menu bar at the top. It could be also something more noticeable because of the retina. I don't know about that. Staff MEB Posted August 19, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 19, 2015 If it happens with all, it may be an hardware issue as suggested by yakk. Is this a brand new Mac? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
