Andreas Berlin
Hi there, I'm starting to work with Afinity Designer.Usually, images in other programs are linked to a location on a medium (hard drive or other media). If not, all image information is completely embedded in the documents, which increases the file size enormously. Image data updates become difficult in the work process. You then have no option of sending individual parts of publications separately. Is there no function to link images in Afinity Designer? Thanks and Have a nice dayAndreas Pankalla

You cannot link images in AD ... maybe one day this will be changed? Would be a good addition. But if you have APublisher also installed you can work around: Use menu "File" -> "Edit in Publisher", in APu call "Document" -> "Resource Manager" and make the image linked. Then "File" -> "Edit in Designer" to work on your document in AD. Andreas Berlin
Thanks a lot, but it would be a good idea to program this function in "Afinity Designer". Greatings from Berlin Andreas

You mention you need this for "publications". Perhaps you should be using Publisher instead of Designer, for that purpose? Andreas Berlin
Sorry, "publications" was the wrong term.I thought that if I used too much image material for an illustration, I could send the individual images separately for editing or simply archive them in connection with the illustration. And yes, in Publisher I can do that, but I would also need this function in Designer
