Rik
When selecting the Transparency Tool, there doesn't appear to be an option to apply a flat transparency. An option where you can make the whole object equally transparent. It seems that you have to apply a Linear transparency, and the change both ends to a value to give you the desired flat transparency. Is that right, or am I missing an option somewhere? Staff MEB Posted September 20, 2014 Staff Share Posted September 20, 2014 Hi Rick, The flat transparency in Xara doesn't have an equivalent in the Transparency Tool of Affinity Designer. To make a path, object, layer or group transparent in AD go to layers panel and change the opacity (located right above the layers names) to what you wish. Rik
I hope you don't mind me mentioning Xara, most of the time. I could equally have been an Illustrator user and I would then be mentioning that name. And yes. Your instructions are perfect. That works OK for me. :D Quote Art & Logo Design
Staff MEB Posted September 20, 2014 Staff Share Posted September 20, 2014 No problem Rick, I´m a Xara user too. Nothing wrong with that (or any other software). Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
