Export an image with transparent background (afphoto)

Hello, 

 

I am very new to photo editing. I am having trouble finding a way to export an image so that it has a transparent background. I made a stylized version of my name that I would like to use as a logo on a website. When I export the image there is a white rectangle around my text. Is there a way to do this in Affinity Photo?

Welcome to the forums :)

 

If you go to File > Export > PNG there will be a preset for with transparency. This will stop any transparent parts of your photo coming out as white.

You're probably trying to save the image as a jpeg. This format does not support transparency. To get the background transparent you have to export as PNG following the steps Callum outlined above.
