thiasdnu
Hello, I am very new to photo editing. I am having trouble finding a way to export an image so that it has a transparent background. I made a stylized version of my name that I would like to use as a logo on a website. When I export the image there is a white rectangle around my text. Is there a way to do this in Affinity Photo?I would very much appreciate your help.
Staff Callum Posted August 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2015 Hi Thiasdnu, Welcome to the forums :) If you go to File > Export > PNG there will be a preset for with transparency. This will stop any transparent parts of your photo coming out as white. C thiasdnu 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Staff MEB Posted August 12, 2015 Staff Share Posted August 12, 2015 Hi thiasdnu, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You're probably trying to save the image as a jpeg. This format does not support transparency. To get the background transparent you have to export as PNG following the steps Callum outlined above. thiasdnu 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
